AkzoNobel had developed the creative concept for a new range of premium paints under the Dulux flagship brand:
8 different premium products across 8 countries. We knew that the packaging had to look stunning and break the category norm through its print finishing.
Having only a set of design visuals to start with, we oversaw all aspects of the project — sourcing and auditing suppliers, colour testing, artworks and on-press consultation.
Despite the exceptional technical and budgetary constraints, our success was clear: Dulux Ambiance outsold initial forecasts immediately. Production ramped up in 2 months, from low volume digital labels to large volume rotogravure — leading to a second round of artwork and print management to achieve the same printed results with a vastly different print process.
